HAFLICH FAMILY
From Uniondale, IN
Grandfather Otto owned the Feed mill in Uniondale until the depression wiped it out.
There is a street in Uniondale named Otto street after him.

This is from the same Prairie Farmer (should have thought of it before--duh!)
Lot of names that jive up with the names of the Cupp's-- too many uncommon names in the same two families/area to be coincidence.

Guy O  (wonder if the "O" is Orlo?)
Ruth
Clella and Guy children of William A Haflich( I think this was who raised Grandfather)
Lolitta ( Lola?)
Keith (otto gave me my middle name :-)
Ray
John

PS this books says Otto lived here his entire life-- I have always been told he came to Wells Co when he was 12--
I find it unusal that there was never any visiting etc between the Cupp and Hafichs even back then.
All Uncle Orlo knew was that they raised his dad-- perhaps some "step" bad blood - probably never know-- funny thing is-- I remember Raymond Hafich (older man) from when I was a kid and he worked at the Clinic hospital in Bluffton where I worked while in school. Hmmmm -- if I had only know then what I know now!

I have a 2nd cousin (Ray's daughter) that is in a nursing home in Bluffton-- I will be making arrangements to see her and see if she can shed any light on the situation.
Mary "Cupp" Harris is a delight to visit and chat with.
